20 Years From Now
20 years from now I hope to be a practicing dentist. I will have my own business after obtaining a minor in business to accompany my biochemistry, and/or molecular biology masters. I will run this dental office with the goals of helping people with their health and in a small way with their self esteem. But taking a few steps back, after I graduate with my graduate I plan to go on to dental school. From there I will graduate and plan to be a practicing dentist within 12 years from now (2013).
Dentistry will be a good fit for me from and myself 20 years from now, because it is a profession that will allow me to have flexible work hours in order to as well care for a family. I do realize my passion for working, and I do expect that my expectations to someday be a mother to grow so I do think that my want to someday have a family is what primarily drives this choice to work in this field of medicine. I don’t think it will take 20 years for me to get married, more like 10. I had always thought that it would be hard to find a place as fantastic as Alameda to raise a family, but after my Spring break trip to Utah, I think I might have found a place. Utah is defiantly a beautiful place with extraordinary people. Very similar to Alameda, just even bigger. I’m not going to limit myself to choosing a place to live now. But I can predict that both the Bay Area and Utah being apart of my life.
I always kid myself that I am going to buy myself my dream car for my 30th birthday to help aid me cope with that fact that I’m aging. But what I think would be an even better birthday present is to be debt free. I plan to do so by attending college, at least for my graduate, at a private university where tuition is low, and the support, and financial aid is high. I also plan and am currently practicing staying budgeted. Over all at the very least I just hope that I’m happy whatever I accomplish.
